Description
The feast of All Saints is commemorated on the Sunday After Pentecost by Eastern Christians and on November 1 by Western Christians.
Symbolism
- Circle — Christ enthroned in glory, with the Theotokos and John the Baptist and the ranks of the saints: Angels, Prophets and Old Testament Righteous, Apostles, Bishops, Martyrs, Monks and Nuns. At the bottom, Adam and Eve bow before the throne of God.
- Bottom — Paradise, with the Good Thief who was crucified with Christ (right) and Abraham (left). They hold clothes filled with babies, representing the children of Israel: ancient Israel and the Church today.
