Feast of Faith

About the Author: Archbishop Paul, head of the Orthodox Church in Finland from 1969 to 1987, is well known for his popular explanation of Orthodoxy in The Faith We Hold, which itself originated as a pastoral letter.

This text is an essential and very readable primer on the Divine Liturgy. More than that, it is a thorough reminder of the Good News, the Gospel, of Jesus Christ. As we re-enter our churches and reconnect to the sacramental life of the Church, it will be important for all of us to rediscover, to make fresh again, our love of the Eucharist. I had not truly noticed the appendices last time I read this book -- they are very helpful.
