Saint Paisios of Athos Icon - S184

Saint (Elder) Paisios was an Athonite monk, spiritual father, founder of monasteries, and prolific writer of many works that have been translated and read throughout the world. He reposed in 1994.

The saint was glorified by the Ecumenical Patriarchate in 2015, one of the fastest glorifications in recent history. This is a testament to his holiness, which was known to everyone who met him, and to his powerful intercessions and miracles. His feast is celebrated on July 12.
