Holy Tabernacle Incense

This incredible incense is made exclusively by Legacy Icons according to the recipe given by God to Moses in Exodus 30:34.

Take for yourself sweet spices, stacte, onycha, sweet galbanum, and pure frankincense, each in equal proportion.

In developing this incense, we followed the Biblical recipe closely and the traditions surrounding it, sourcing the most authentic ingredients possible. A blend of twelve richly fragrant, precious and costly ingredients that leads to an incredibly complex fragrance that develops and changes over time and with each burn. The incense is finely ground, as it is written, for an authentic experience of this Biblical incense.

The incense starts instantly with a rich, earthy fragrance and sweet, herbal and floral smoke. (The blend includes special spices and herbs that cause the smoke to rise in a column as described in the Bible.) It deepens into an aroma of musky, deep perfume with sudden notes of sweet pine and lemon. As it matures, a blend of chocolate and coffee comes through. Overall the fragrance is very exotic and unlike any incense we have ever sampled, with a strong Middle Eastern character fitting for its source in the times of the Exodus.

When used on a layer of foil with our 'Smokeless' Incense Burner, the fragrances are more subtle, sweeter, and evolve more gradually.
